Welcome on my blog. We are now waiting for Final Fantasy XIII. In fact we are all waiting on 3 games: Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Agito XIII on PSP and Final Fantasy Versus on XIII, game aren’t connected directly but all are set in new world. All of them are part of game collection: Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII (from latin, “New Tale about Crystals”). Storyline is connected “Lighting”, girl wielding large gunblade (something like girl version of Cloud), Snow Villiers and Sera. Game engine is called Crystal Tools, specially created for console Playstation 3. The concept for FFXIII battle system is to maintain the strategic nature of command-based battles.

Well its really very hard to tell when Squere release FFXIII, first company will release it in Japan in 2009 and this is sure. Square Enix’s official website issued a statement reminding consumers that any “confirmed release dates” reported by sources other than Square Enix are “erroneous and should be disregarded”. So we all must just wait…how long? Time will tell…

See you again on Final Fantasy Gil – Weblog

Welcome on Final Fantasy Gil. Today I would like to add list of servers with my small explanation.

Alexander is powerful creature which you can summon in all Final Fantasy series. He can attack with his “Holy Judgment” or “Justice” attack and deal holy damage to all enemies. In Final Fantasy VII he was related to special Summon Materia, this materia can be found in the Great Glacier, after combat with snow women. In Final Fantasy VIII he was a Guardian Force, you can get him from Edea Kramer by Drawing. Alexander is also name of server for FF XI.

Asura is powerful Katana in few Final Fantasy games. This weapon is one of the swords used by Auron or in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is used be Ninja and Assassin classes. It’s also in FF VI and it’s used by Cyan. Asura or Ashura is name of server for FF XI.

Bahamut or “The Dragon King” is probably most popular summon in FF series. His mighty attack is called Mega Flare – deal magic damage based on non-elemental attack which ignores evasion and defense. In Final Fantasy VII there are 3 different materia related to Bahamut, first one is simple “Bahamut”, second, stronger one “Neo Bahamut” and strongest one “Bahamut Zero”.

Bismarck is powerful summon from Final Fantasy VI and he also appears in Final Fantasy Unlimited. He deals water damage to all opponents. Name is probably taken from Otto von Bismarck, German Kaiser and politician; there was also huge battleship, cruiser named Bismarck during World War II.

Caitsith – Everyone one knows funny character Caitsith is Final Fantasy series. He is cat with crown and he is riding weird creature, he is using megaphones as his weapons (he is shouting and commanding his creature to attack enemies). Caitsith is also name of server.

Carbuncle appears in few Final Fantasy games, as a summon. His attack is called Ruby Power or sometimes Ruby Light (cast Reflect spell on all party). In Final Fantasy VIII he is Guardian Force, and you can receive him in Deling City from the Iguons. During summoning he appears from a big hole in the ground, then jumps up high and casts his powerful spell “Ruby Light”.

Cerberus can be found in few parts of Final Fantasy series. In FF 8 he is boss who became Guardian Force when you defeat him. His summon can be good support for your party – he casts Counter Rockets (Double and Triple spell on the entire party). His name is taken from Greek Mythology where Cerberus is mighty 3-headed dog-beast and it’s guarding the gates to the Underworld.

Diabolos is Guardian Force from Final Fantasy VIII; he is very powerful on higher levels. First you get Magical Lamp from Headmaster Cid, later you must save game and fight with Diablos, when you defeat him he joins as Guardian Force. His attack is called Dark Messenger and he deals large amount of damage to all targets (Gravity-based attack).

Fairy or Faerie is available as summon in Final Fantasy Tactics. It’s very helpful because he is healing all party on the battlefield. He is more useful than Moogle, and she has much larger area of effects, although she doesn’t appear in this part of series.

Gilgamesh in Final Fantasy is unique master swordsman, unique because only he thinks that way ;-) . He thinks of himself as great and strong warrior but he is almost always losing the battle. Gilgamesh was Mesopotamian King, it’s hard to tell but he was something like half-titan, and he was superior then human being (legend).

Fenrir is one of the monsters at the Monster Arena. He is very fast and agile and he can evade lots of attacks. He is very strong and has 850.000 hp; his powerful attacks are Fangs of Ruin, Fangs of Chaos and Fangs of Hell. Most difficult during combat is to overcome his tremendous speed. You need very strong team to beat him.

Garuda is summon in Final Fantasy XI, he is avatar of wind in the game. This summon can cast lots of Air- based spells on enemies and also attack them using her sharp claws. She can also heal party members. Garuda is name of the many aspects of god in tradition of Hinduism. It’s also name of Final Fantasy XI Online server.

Hades is mighty summon which appears in Final Fantasy VII. You can find his materia in underwater cargo room at Sunken Gelnika. His powerful attack is called the Black Cauldron and causes Sleep, Silence, Confusion, Poison, Frog, Mini and Slow status ailments. Hades is from Greek Mythology, god of Underworld and death. It’s also name of a server for FF XI.

Ifrit is fire beast, elemental summon in Final Fantasy VII and other parts of series. His attack is called Inferno or Flames of Hell but must often Hell Fire. In every part he looks little bit different but there are some similarities like attack name or his connection to fire (Ifrit is spirit of fire in Arabian mythology).

Kujata is beast that only appeared in Final Fantasy 7. This beast can be summoned and it deals multi-elemental damage to all enemies. Kujata can be discovered in the Bone Village, in Sleeping Forest. Kujata name is taken from the Arabian myth of Bahamut.

Lakshmi in Hindu goddess of beauty, luck and wisdom, she also appears as Starlet. Lakshmi is name of server for Final Fantasy XI. You can use her abilities for healing your party members (she can be very useful). Lakshmi always appears in Final Fantasy VI.

Leviathan is legendary sea serpent he is connected to water elements (deals water based damage in Final Fantasy). Leviathan is taken from Old Testament. In Final Fantasy his attack is called Tsunami or sometimes Tidal wave.

Midgardsormr is giant snake from Final Fantasy VII, you can find him near Midgar. On the beginning you are too weak to fight with him so you must hire Chocobo and you can evade combat with this snake. Midgardsormr is from Norse mythology, he is the “World Serpent” – “Jörmungandr”.

Odin is taken from Norse mythology he is powerful god and head of Norse pantheon, he is god of war, magic and wisdom. In Final Fantasy series he looks like evil demonic knight, and he is riding demon steed with six legs. His attack is Zantetsuken, is deadly for most of enemies – he cut them on two parts.

Pandemonium or Pandemona uses powerful wind attack to damage all opponents as Guardian Force in Final Fantasy VIII. This Guardian Force attack is called Tornado Zone, quite good against, wind-vulnerable opponents. You can get Pandemonium from Fujin at hotel in Balanb.

Phoenix is mythical creatures available in few parts of Final Fantasy. You can know him better from Final Fantasy VII where he appears for the first time. You can earn this summon materia at Fort Condor after battle, near Huge Materia. He can revive your characters from KO status.

Quetzalcoatl appears in several Final Fantasy parts. I remember him very well from Final Fantasy VII where he was attacking enemies with his thunder attacks. He looks like giant snake with beautiful feathers. Quetzalcoat is taken from Mesoamerican god as “Feather Snake”.

Ragnarok appears in Final Fantasy 6 and he is an Esper. There is also flying giant robo-starship called Ragnarok in Final Fantasy VIII, he is similar to robots in Neo-Genesis Evangelion, manga or anime. Ragnarok also is an event very similar to the Apocalypse; we can find it in Norse Mythology.

Ramuh – you can summon Ramuh to attack your enemies with powerful lighting attack. Ramuh is extremely powerful versus all mechanical enemies and can deal huge damage to this kind of opponents. You can obtain him at Gold Saucer (Chocobo Jockey Room). His ability-attack is called Judgment Bolt.

Remora – you can fight with this enemy in FF X (Remora) at sewers of the Via Purifico, down below Bevelle city. Mob is really very vulnerable to Wakka’s Dark Buster and you should use it against Remora. Remora is first boss you encounter in this game.

Seraph can heal you party with his ability Angel Feathers. You can obtain this heaven being in Final Fantasy VI. Sepraph is taken from the Christian Hierarchy of angels. The highest rank of an angel is Seraph.

Shiva is characteristic summon from Final Fantasy game series. You can get material with her powers from Priscilla from Lower Junon (Final Fantasy 7 -when you beat mob Bottomswell-he is very easy but watch out for his bubble attack).

Siren is taken from Greek mythology, Odysseus met Sirens on sea and during that encounter he lost all his crew. In Final Fantasy 8 you can meet siren as nice looking Guardian Force. She has very strong non elemental attack which inflicts Silence status on all enemies. During this attack she is playing on her harp.

Sylph is summon from various FF games and not only. She is in Final Fantasy IV, V, XII and FF Tactics. Sylph look like small fairies and their attack is Whispering Wind which is draining HP from enemies and transfer it to you party. Sylph also appears in game „Chocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon 2” released some time ago.

Titan is very mighty looking summon in Final Fantasy series. In part 7 you can get Titan Materia from Gongaga Mako Reactor after explosion, and he cast Anger of the Land. Titan is extremely powerful in FF XI where you can get ability Stoneskin to all members of the party, this grant protection from all in-game physical damage, maybe for short time but this is very useful during the game.

Unicorn – you can meet Unicorn in few parts of Final Fantasy, in FF VI he is Esper, and you get it automatically at the Magitek Research Facility. His spell is Healing or Heal Horn, which cast Remedy on the entire party. Unicorn also appears in Dragon Quest. There is server called Unicorn for FF XI.

Valefor is powerful Aeon from FF X, where Yuna is only person who can summon these mighty creatures. Valefor is first Aeon she obtains. She is taking him from temple of Besaid, very early in game. You can also fight with Dark Valefor in FF Xi – he is optional boss to combat.
