First Gameplay Footage of Final Fantasy XIV

Welcome on Final Fantasy gil. Fresh news from GameCon! As you probably know, lucky ones who were there, had a oportunity to check out first gameplay footage of Final Fantasy XIV. After watching 2 videos I can say one word – WOOOOW!!! Game is looking really amazing! Well, I don’t want to know how powerful PC you need to run this kinda game, but it’s looking really awesome. Of course it’s alpha build so there are many aspects that may change over the course of development.

(Final Fantasy XIV – Alpha Build)

I’m impressed by the level of detail already present and there were only minor flaws, there was a lot of higher grass, bushes and flowers. Well, as you see, the camera angle is similar to the one used in Final Fantasy XI. I heard that, head developer – Mr. Tanaka – said in an interview that the game is only 40%-50% complete at this point and the demos main purpose was to show the Guildleve system (Quest system) he also said that “high detail level will be maintained even at very far distances”. In Guildleve you get your card which has some info to it like a small background story, needed skill level, issuing city, beginning position, time limit, BP cost (dunno what is that?), money reward (Gil of course!) and other bonus rewards (potions, or additional gil).
Well, we shall see how Final Fantasy XIV will look in the final version, but today it’s looking great. Keep good work Squere!

See you again!

Final Fantasy XIV Official Website Released

Welcome. Have you seen official Final Fantasy XIV website? Well, website is looking really nice, and we can check out more about Eorzea, fantasy world, were game is set or read more about races, cities.

According to official website, there are five confirmed playable races in Final Fantasy XIV, all similar to the races from Final Fantasy XI – The Hyur, Elezen, Miqote, lalafelland the Roedadyn. Each will seem familiar but their origins and motives have changed along with the settings.

Lalafell – Tiny humanoids of high agility and intelligence from the Southern regions.

Roegadyn – A large race who are a seafaring folk from the Northern regions.

Hyur – A race that is more or less human. They are divided into the Highlanders and the Midlanders.

Elezen – An Elf-like race and the original inhabitants of Eorzea.

Miqo’te – Cat-like humanoids divided by two groups: the Seekers of the Sun and the Keepers of the Moon.

In my opinion most interesting parts of website are also related to story section were we can learn about the story of Eoreza and it’s formation. It has a very indepth overview that will give potential players insight in to the world. + City States section – we can read about three nations, Final Fantasy XIV has three main city states (Ul’Dah, Limsa and Gridania). We must wait for more details about them.

Check out official website from time to time, Squere should ad more about Final Fantasy XIV in the future. Oh man I just can’t wait to see more :-)

See you again on Final Fantasy Gil

9th Vana’diel Census

Welcome on Final Fantasy Gil. According to official information, last month Squere was very busy gathering data based on player input and server statistics. Well, i saw all kind of statistics on official website, but a lot of the info seems pointless to the common player. Ive found only few interesting data like – that 26% of the population make over 10 million Final Fantasy gil per week, or 78,43% of all active Linkshells have 1-9 members? Also is interesting that “since the level cap was set at level 75 in 2004, the percentage of level 75 characters was at a measly 1.70%, but this year that percentage has climbed all the way to 15.60%!” or that “85% of players are logged in to FINAL FANTASY XI for an average of 1 to 3 hours a day.” These information are from special occasion, because On May 16, 2009, FINAL FANTASY XI celebrated the seven-year anniversary of its launch in Japan.
We can read “To better understand the game’s players, we tried something different for the 9th Vana’diel Census and performed a preliminary survey.” Ok enough with statistics, I need to log into for few minutes!

See you again!

Final Fantasy XIV – hot trailer!

Welcome on Final Fantasy Gil. Today few words, about upcoming Final Fantasy XIV! Well, I don’t know about you, but I’m really excited after watching this fantastic FF XIV trailer.

(Final Fantasy XIV trailer)

Just like Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy XIV is a massively multiplayer online game (MMORPG) and takes place in a world called Haiderin, where we will be able to explore the land of Eorzea.
Game engine is very advanced, already used in Final Fantasy XIII (FF XIII is the flagship title of the Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII collection) and is called “Crystal Tools” (or White Engine) and is being developed by the same team working on Square Enix’s current MMORPG title, FF XI. It’s probably most advanced engine used in MMORPG ( probably only Crytek engine used in Aion Online: Tower of Eternity can be competitive).
The game is being produced by Tanaka and directed by Nobuaki Komoto and Nobuo Uematsu is composing the music – Uematsu is known for his previous work under soundtrack to Final Fantasy VII, FF VIII or FF X.
It’s hard to say, when FF XIV will be released, because game is currently scheduled for a 2010 release. We don’t even know, the exact time frame of beta testing, so we need to wait…damn trailer is looking really hot!

What else?
Well’ I don’t know anything about the battle system to be honest, I hope they will add some smart changes anyway. Currency should be the same – Final Fantasy gil – lets hope so.

One more thing, game will be released ONLY on PSX3 and PC, so prepare you hard drives and fingers for new adventures in Final Fantasy XIV!

See you again on Final Fantasy Gil!

Final Fantasy Gil farming zones 4

Welcome on last part of my Final Fantasy Gil farming guide.

Zone

Sanctuary of Zitah is designed for players between 36-41 level

Description:
Well, when I was there, this place was uncrowded, so you can easily farm here. Personally I like to fight with Ogreflies and couerls (cat-like creature has two large whiskers protruding from its face). It can be hard here, but if you are experience enough you can earn a lot of Final Fantasy Gil and Exp.

Best enemies:
36-38: Ogrefly
38-39: Myxomecete
38-41: Master Couerl

Zone

Gustav Tunnel is designed for players between 37-41 level

Description:
Great place, but only for limited number of parties. You should went there during non-peak hours, or use /sea area “Gustav Tunnel” to make sure the area isn’t too crowded with people your level (max support – 3 groups). You should also ask leaders about free room in party, sometimes is easy to join party – just don’t afraid to ask. In MMORPGs, you must stay active on chat channels, it can be really profitable.

Best enemies:
37-39: Hell Bat
37-40: Hawker
38-41: Goblins (Reaper, Poacher, Robber)

Zone

Labrynth of Onzonzo is designed for players between 41-46 level

Description:
This place is really difficult for ff xi power leveling, with only mediocre experience. In other hand, loot is really good from all monsters you encounter on your way. You should be extremely careful in this zone, and come here with an experienced group that wants to have some fun. This place is really hard when you make mistakes to often…

Best enemies:
41-44: Goblin (Reaper, Poacher, Robber)
44-46: Cockatrice

Zone

Xarcabard is designed for players between 43-45 level

Hard zone. One positive is that you can fight with daemons. If you want to check out this zone, don’t do it without a skilled group. You should know, that Crawlers Nest is 1000 x better then this Xarcabard. It’s tough place with small experience reward, that why I recommend to leave it.

Zone

Yhoator Jungle is designed for players between 45-47 level

Description:
Goblins are best target to farm, so do take them to hell!

Best enemies:
45-47: Goblins (Pathfinder, Reaper, Poacher)

Zone

Quicksand Caves is designed for players between46-5? level

Description:
Nice and pretty place, but slowly becoming a more common leveling area. The different entrances to the caves house and different difficulties of mobs. I suggest to play with reason – you wont waste much time.

Zone

Garlaige Citadel is designed for players between 49-51 level

I don’t like this place, but you can find here quite interesting enemies, such as Chamber Beetle.

Best enemies:
48-51: Chamber Beetle

See you again on Final Fantasy Gil!

Final Fantasy Gil farming zones 3

Welcome on third part of my Final Fantasy Gil farming guide.

Zone

Eastern Altepa Desert is designed for players between 26-40 level

Description:
One of the best farming area. There is really very high travel time, and many new players don’t know where this zone is, that’s why this place is great! I suggest to take the tele-crystal with you (if you can afford one). You can get a map of this area in Rabao, but if you’re looking at this you should definitely view the map online to find your way around. You should watch out on Anticans, they are strong and have very unpleasant their AoE silence and AoE petrify. Well, other enemies are very easy so you shouldn’t have much problems.

Best enemies:
26-30: Giant Spider
30-34: Sand Beetle
34-36: Desert Dhalmel
37-40: Goblin (Poacher, Robber,Trader, Reaper)

Zone

Yhoator Jungle is designed for players between 28-33 level

Description:
This zone is similar to Yuhtunga jungle but it’s for high level characters. It’s awesome zone but in the one condition, when you mustn’t to compete with other parties. No skill required anymore, you just beat down the mandragoras. You can find Tonberry’s and Couerls are in the southern area near the Temple of Uggelipeh.

Best enemies:
28-31: Yhoator Mandragora
31-33: Goblin Smithy

Zone

Davoi is designed for players between 30-33 level

Description:
Its one of the best leveling spots in Final Fantasy XI. If you feel tough, you can go here and try this zone but with skilled group. First time I was with noobs and I just lost few hours, so try to play with pros. It’s excellent leveling if you can find a way to effectively deal with pops. I suggest to farm everything that has a name that starts with “Orc”.

Best enemies:
30-33: Orc (Brawler, Nightraider, Beastrider)

Zone

Sea Serpent Grotto is designed for players between 33-35 level

Description:
I don’t like this leveling zone. Well, I don’t remember exactly anything about this zone.

Zone

Garlaige Citadel is designed for players between 33-36 level

Description:
Citadel is nice place for final fantasy gil farming, but only if isn’t to crowded in lower 30s. I think one of the most dangerous zones in the Final Fantasy XI Online. When it’s crowded its waste of your time. On the higher levels, you can fight with mobs and you can really have fun. Camp spots are really safe.

Zone

Crawlers Nest is designed for players between 33-56 level

Description:
Well, this zone could be best Final Fantasy gil farming spot, but it isn’t because of other crowds here. This zone is really easy but for me is to crowded.

Best enemies:
36-38: Worker Crawler

Final Fantasy Gil farming zones 2

Welcome! Today second part of my Final Fantasy Gil farming and leveling guide for every player seeking money and power :-)

Zone

Qufim is designed for players between 18 – 24 level

Description:
I really hate this place – it’s very crowded (almost like at Valkurm Dunes) + it’s very dangerous at night, because of undead rising from dead. another standard leveling spot after Valkurm Dunes. I suggest to go there only if you are with very strong and good organized group. It’s hard and crowded zone so if you like challenges – you should go there.

Best enemies:
18-20: Land Worms
20-22: Clippers
23-24: Giants

Zone

Sauromugue Champaign is designed for players between 19 – 22 level

Description:
Another very popular place for Final Fantasy gil farming. Why? Well, mostly because it’s close to Jeuno and you can fight with Tabar Beaks here. Tabar Beaks drop cockatrice meat, valuable part of formula to create meat-mithkabobs. Players just love to farm them here, so be ready for real competition. If you are going there – be careful – these Tabar Beaks, sure are tough enemies.

Best enemies:
19-22: Diving Beetle

Zone

Yuhtunga Jungl is designed for players between 24 – 29 level

Description:
This is totally crowded, probably most crowded zone in all Final Fantasy XI. You should go there only if you are skilled, with pro party. Good enemies are mandragoras, but if you pull them watch our for Goblins. They have large aggro and they are real pain in the …you know where…

Best enemies:
24-26: Yuhtunga Mandragoras
26-29: Sahagin
28-29: Goblin Smithy

Zone

Battalia Downs is designed for players between 25 – 30 level

Description:
Well, if crowded just like Yuhtunga Jungle or maybe little less. Anyway  this zone is quite interesting, because you can find many safe spots for farming. You can camp in one of the bunkers under a hill and pull all enemies inside – it’s effective and you are safe :-). Just be careful while you are fighting with Tigers, they have very unpleasant aoe (area-of-effect) attacks. Goblins are easy so you shouldn’t have much problems with them.

Best enemies:
Tigers, Goblins Orcs

Check out another part of my Final Fantasy Gil Guide

Final Fantasy Gil farming zones 1

Welcome friends on Final Fantasy Gil-Blog. From today I would like to write small, but valuable guide for Final Fantasy. With my small help, maybe you will be able to play efficient. There is nothing better then few tips ;-)

Ok let’s start

Zone

Maze of Shakrami is designed for players between 11 – 15 level

Description:
This zone is quite interesting on the beginning, in fact you don’t have much choice…

Best enemies:
You can find Maze Makers from 11-15 level. You can relax while fighting with them.

Zone

Valkurm Dunes is designed for players between 12 – 18 level

Description:
This zone is great for everyone from 12 to 18 level. You must be prepared for big crowd there…personally I don’t like to much competition. Anyway I played some time ago on other server then before and I found this place almost empty – everything happens ;-)

Best enemies:
12-13 Bunnies + Hill Lizards
13-15 Goblins
14-16 Snippers
15-17 Damselfly
17-18 Goblins (better ones)

Zone

Buburimu Peninsula is designed for players between 12 – 18 level

Description:
This zone is tough, but it’s almost empty so if you are bored with Valkurm Dunes, this zone can be nice alternative. You should watch out anyway, enemies here can be pain in the….It’s my favorite place to farm Final Fantasy Gil.

Best enemies:
12-14 Mighty Rarab and Sylvestre
13-15 Goblins ( like Ambusher etc.)
14-16 Snippers, Zu
16-18 Dhalmel
17-18 Goblins (like Gambler etc.)

Zone

Korroloka Tunnel is designed for players between 15 – 17 level

Description:
I don’t like this place – it’s hard to find party around here. You can meet here, many high level characters, farming rangers, worms or spiders. If you are alone this place can be very dangerous, because there is a smattering of Jelly’s throughout the cave. If you are brave and tough you can try it. One more thing, there are nice crabs here. You can farm them too.

Best enemies:
15-17: Land Worms – I just love to farm them :-) I hate bugs!

Something about Final Fantasy Gil

You have problems with Gil in Final Fantasy? Well, I will try to explain few quite helpful tips how to farm a lot of Final Fantasy Gil.

Fire Crystals

A stack of first crystals can sell for 2000 gil easily over at the auction house. There are 2 good methods to collect fire crystals. The more commonly used method would be the usual beat the mob down and loot method. To start you need to be around level 7-10 and you need signet cast on you at your town gates. OK first target are North to Gusterburg where you will be able to find many vultures. To the Northwest of San D’oria there is an area full of Orcc. These nice creatures drop a nice amount of fire crystals as well. You can probably average about 3 stacks in an hour. This way you can obtain around 7000 gil in an hour for a level 7-10 which is quite nice about of money.

You can also get Fire Crystals by gardening. You start by buying a brass flower pot in the auction house, several vegetable seeds and some water crystals. Then you must plant the flower plot in your Mog house and put in the vegetable seeds. Secondly feed it some water crystals, after 1-3 days you will have 17 fire crystals come out of it.

This way, you can have up to 7-8 flower pots per house, you can easily make 20,000-30,000 gil every 2-3 days. It’s probably easiest way to obtain real wealth in Final Fantasy XI.

Warp Quest

Well, with this trick you can get around 10,000 gil/ hour. You need to start with 1000 gil to purchase a slime oil. After you’ve purchased the slime oil, bring it to an NPC named “Unlucky Rat” in the Metal district of Bastok in exchange for a warp scroll. The scroll sells for about a good 7,000-10000 gil on Auction House. Well, only problem with this method is that you will need to have enough fame built up before the NPC will take your slime oil. To raise your fame up you need to complete low level mission, but on lower level 10000 gil is nice amout of money – that’s why this method is really interesting. You can also redo this quest by creating a mule account and transferring cash to your main character.

To be continued

See you again on Final Fantasy Gil Weblog.

Hironobu Sakaguchi small interview

According to gwn.com, Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi has accused Microsoft of failing to promote the Xbox 360 efficiently in Japan market. He has also criticized Playstation 3 console insisting that it is too difficult to develop for (well other developers have also a tons of problems with PSX 3).

“The machine’s architecture is tricky, and I don’t like Ken Kutaragi.”said Sakaguchi, speaking to US publication EGM. So he is resigning to never work on any game for PSX 3…
Mr Sakaguchi also add few words about Microsoft’s Windows, Lastly, “Just look at the Windows Vista commercial – it’s terrible.” ;-).

He is also suggesting that Microsoft has very bad strategy in promotion of Xbox 360 in Japan, that’s why sales of Microsoft console in the region had been relatively quite poor. Sakaguchi blames entirely on the company’s inability to communicate its products to Japanese players.

Final Fantasy VII, do you remember this game?

Final Fantasy VII, is one of the greatest games i played in my whole life. That’s why i want to wrote something about almost perfect game in history of gaming. It’s all began when 10 years ago i bought PSX and around 3-4 months later FF VII. I remember my first thoughts about it ;-) “Ohh man what a game..”, “what have i done, it’s weird and boring!”, my brother was very angry and he almost yell at me. I was really disappointed but, i started to play, hoping this game isn’t so bad as i think i just maybe need some more time with it. After few hours i was totally sucked up by this game. Story, characters and pure charisma, this game is really like blow in face!

I don’t want to write about storyline, i just want to share with you my feelings after..yes 10 years..Maybe this is some kinda nostalgic evening that’s why I’m writing about my feelings but when i listen to this music…

Well music in Final Fantasy VII is one of the greatest i ever listen in movie/game. It’s fantastic. Pure gold. Nobuo Uematsu, creator of soundtracks for FF VII, VIII, IX, X, XI is one of the most famous and respected composers in the video game community and will be forever for his FF tribute. Final Fantasy VII is perfect and maybe it’s weird, i love this game. Love. It’s pure love..and this game will be always in my heart :-)…
If you like older games or you don’t know Final Fantasy VII (I dunno is it possible), try it. You won’t be disappointed…
